The KE6940A extender consists of a powerful IP-based transmitter (KE6940AT) connected to the computer and receiver (KE6940AR) that provides console access from a separate location. The KE6940A provides advanced remote access to computer systems via USB consoles (USB keyboard, USB mouse, DVI monitor) over the intranet, allowing users to place the computer system in secure and temperature-controlled environments that may be isolated from the user's workstation. The KE6940A DVI-I Dual-Display KVM over IP Extender supports two DVI displays at each end and provides lossless, low-latency video transmissions up to 1920 x 1200 at 60 Hz.The KE6940A supports connections via an RJ-45 port or SFP slot. The transmitter and receiver can be connected either directly or via a high-speed network using a copper-based or fibre-based LAN. By connecting via the SFP slot with 1 Gbps SFP fibre optic module (2A-136G / 2A-137G, is sold separately) extensions in the fibre optic network, you can extend transmission distances up to 10 km.
